Hello Omega Force,
As we get closer and closer to Star Citizen, there will be a lot of new systems which will need to be procured so that we can become the successful organization that we all want Omega Force Solutions to be.
One such system that I am rolling out today is the Omega Force Community Item Bank.
The purpose of the community bank is mainly for us to use for Star Citizen, however it can be used for any other game.
Basically, if a member of the community has an item that they don't need/want, they have the option of adding it to the bank.
Donated items are listed and marked with an approximate value. Members can then say whether they want or don't want the item.
Now depending on the game and nature of the item, whoever is in charge of managing that item will determine who it will be given to.
For right now, members will not be able to list their own items for security purposes. For now, all donated Star Citizen items should be directed to Kevlar Best, our Treasurer and he will put up a listing for the item that you are donating.
For any other game, like if you feel like donating a Planetsdie 2 item code of something, you can run it by any council member and we will put the listing up for you. You don't have to give us the item right away. We will just put the listing up. You hold onto it for as long as you like.
How will we determine who gets a donated item? Well ultimately it is the decision of the donator on who gets the item, but there is a nifty little score counter for the bank. Basically, when you donate an item you will receive that item's value in points. When you receive an item from the bank, you lose the items value in points. Those with a higher score means they have donated more than they have received, and vice versa. Those with a lower score have received more than they have donated. This will help in deciding who deserves the item the most.
So yeah, hopefully this will allow everyone to help each other out in Star Citizen, especially new recruits who may not have very much to start out will. This way we can get new members on their feet sooner.
